Refunds & Cancellations
Version 1.0 · Updated 23 August 2026
Paid features are not yet available. This policy sets out how refunds will work when the Journey Pass launches. Until then, HomeStation is free to use and there is nothing to refund.
1. Your Consumer Guarantees Act rights come first
Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. If the Service fails to meet a consumer guarantee — for example, it is not provided with reasonable care and skill — you are entitled to the remedies the Act provides, regardless of the goodwill terms below.
2. Journey Pass (one-off purchase)
The Journey Pass is a single payment of NZ$79 which applies for 12 months. It is not a subscription and does not renew automatically.
14-day goodwill refund. If you buy a Journey Pass and change your mind within 14 days, we will refund you in full — provided you have used fewer than two AI document analyses since purchase. AI analyses have a real per-use cost to us, which is why heavy use ends the change-of-mind window.
Faulty or not as described. If the Service is materially faulty or not as described, contact us — we will fix it, or refund you, as the Consumer Guarantees Act requires, at any time.
How to request: email hello@homestation.co.nz from your account email address with “Refund” in the subject line. We process approved refunds to your original payment method within 5 business days via Stripe.
3. If we cancel or materially change something
If we terminate your access other than for a breach of the Terms, or permanently withdraw a feature that was central to what you paid for, we will refund the unused portion of what you paid.
4. Business users
If you purchase for business purposes, the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 does not apply, and the goodwill terms above are the full extent of our refund commitment.
